Our Rotary
Club has entered into a partnership with "Partage", the Geneva food bank,
since 2019.
Partage
aims at collecting and sort unsold food for free distribution to beneficiary
institutions, which help and feed people in difficulty in Geneva.
Our multi-faceted
partnership covers : (i) coaching for
the job search, (ii) fundraising, (iii) food collection during ‘Samedi du partage’, (iv) sorting collected food , (v) preparation of food bags (5000 food
bags per week for food distribution).
This
partnership, a local programme, is part of our services to the community. It
allows the Rotarians of the club to mobilize themselves according to their
availability in a useful way. It is also an opportunity to share an activity
with Rotarians from other clubs. Recently Rotarians from RC Gex-Divonne and RC Thonon
Genevois International joined us to participate in the preparation of food
bags.
