The 2022 World Polio Day, organised in collaboration between our Club, Rotary International and the WHO was an immense success! During this two-day conference held on the 21st and 22nd October, sessions led by Rotary International President, Jennifer Jones and WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus led sessions on the state of polio eradication and its broader relevance to global health. The conference addressed not only the status of polio eradication and what’s next, but also the potential for community-based solutions to improve global health, particularly as it relates to maternal-child health.
