A TripAdvisor for international development:
Integrity Action helps communities fix failing development projects in a dozen countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. They deploy the tactics and insights of the open consumer feedback to international development and may be the first to be doing so successfully at scale. Their approach has been used to monitor more than two thousand development projects worth close to $1 billion to date. Their app, DevelopmentCheck, works in six languages and has won awards from Google and other organisations. Over the next years, Integrity Action aims to do for international development what Tripadvisor has done for global travel.
Integrity Action, a London based organisation is the first to deploy the tactics and insights of the open consumer feedback revolution (Uber, EBay, Yelp, etc.) in international development. The organisation's founder, Fredrik Galtung, speaks about how they do this, the impact they are having, how it has enabled local communities to monitor over two thousand development projects to date, and how they plan to have the impact on international development that Tripadvisor has had on the global travel industry.
