Why are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relevant for the Private Sector ?

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is pleased to invite you to a high-level event on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, to be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland on April 22nd, 2016.

This high-level event is organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club Genève International and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services.

It will provide the private sector with a platform to discuss the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in their respective fields, while seeking the advice and help from a panel of experts from the public and private sectors as well as the Swiss Government and International Organizations.

The main topics which will be covered are the following: 

  • What are the Sustainable Development Goals ?
  • Why are they relevant for the Private Sector ?
  • How can the Private Sector profit in contributing to their implementation ?

The high-level event is free of charge and will be conducted in English and will be followed by a reception.

Participants without access badge to the Palais des Nations are required to inform UNITAR by sending an

email to melanie.cremona@unitar.org and bring their ID card or Passport.
