Humanitarian
maritime organization dedicated to search and rescue operations in the Central
Mediterranean. Since 2016, SOS MEDITERRANEE has rescued more than 40,000 people
in distress at sea with its ambulance vessels: the Aquarius (2016 –
2018) and the Ocean Viking (since July 2019), providing lifesaving
assistance.
Elliot
Guy has been the Director of SOS MEDITERRANEE Switzerland since January 2025.
He first joined the organization as a volunteer seven years ago and has since
held several key roles, including Head of Communications and Deputy Director,
before stepping into his current leadership position.
