  Dr. Frenando Lagrana\, ITU Spain. \n\nWhat is Geneva Peace Week?\n\nThe 
 3rd Geneva Peace Week will be held from 7 to 11 November 2016 and is a col
 lective action initiative facilitated by the United Nations Office at Gene
 va (UNOG)\, the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studi
 es\, and the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform in collaboration the Swiss Conf
 ederation. By synchronizing meetings on different topics related to the pr
 omotion of peace during one week\, Geneva Peace Week will maximize synergi
 es between organizations in Geneva\, focused on the cross-cutting nature o
 f peace.\n\nGeneva Peace Week underlines that each and every person\, acto
 r and institution has a role to play in building peace and resolving confl
 ict. It also highlights that peace promotion occurs in many different cont
 exts and cuts across disciplines and sectors. In this sense\, Geneva Peace
  Week is an attempt to break down the silos which all-too-often characteri
 ze the international community and can limit more creative responses.\n\nG
 eneva Peace Week 2016 \n\nThis year’s Peace Week will encompass:\n\n\n5
 2 events (22 main events\, 25 side events and 5 cultural events) \nOver 1
 00 speakers\n56 event organizers\n\n\n \n\nProgramme\n\nGeneva Peace Week
  2016 has three programme tracks:\n\n\nMain Programme developed collaborat
 ively between UNOG\, the founding Partners of the Geneva Peacebuilding Pla
 tform\, Organizations hosted in the Maison de la Paix\, and the University
  of Geneva.\nProgramme of Side Events open for events organized by Permane
 nt Missions\, International Organizations\, and non-governmental organizat
 ions in consultative status with ECOSOC. \nCultural events consisting of 
 exhibitions\, music and films on the theme of peace. \n\n\n \n\nOpen reg
