SUMMARY:The efforts of the Rotarian Action Group for Peace and our Peacebui
 lder Club Program. 
DESCRIPTION:This evening\, our friend from EPFL\, Matthieu Gani\, who was i
 nstrumental in implementing the premature baby incubator\, will give us a 
 briefing on improved protective suit for healthcare workers involved in th
 e fight against infectious diseases in developing countries\, in particula
 r Ebola. This suit is about to enter its last testing phase before it can 
 be safely sent to the field.\n\nMatthieu Gani has been a scientific collab
 orator at EPFL’s EssentialTech Centre from 2013 to 2019. After completin
 g an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering\, he worked on cochlear implants at t
 he Geneva University Hospital\, developing research interfaces and conduct
 ing tests with patients. He was then employed as a social worker and deput
 y manager at the Soup Kitchen in Lausanne\, Switzerland\, providing free m
 eals and guidance to people in need. He joined EPFL’s EssentialTech prog
 ram in 2013 as a project manager\, first on newborn health and then in the
  field of protective equipment. Matthieu recently joined the EssentialMed 
 Foundation\, working on the training aspects linked to the introduction of
  an appropriate oxygen concentrator in developing countries\n\n-----------
 ---------\n\nReem Ghunaim is currently the Executive Director for the Rota
 rian Action Group for Peace based in Portland\, Oregon. She is also a Glob
 al Peace Index Ambassador for the Institute for Economics and Peace based 
 in New York City\, and a Rotarian at the Rotary Club of Portland\, Distric
 t 5100. She was previously a Rotaractor with the Rotary Club of Ramallah i
 n Palestine\, and later became a Rotary Peace Fellow at the Duke UNC Rotar
 y Peace Center in North Carolina.\n\nReem is a proponent of economic devel
 opment\, strategic and regional planning\, and promoting peace through glo
 bal humanitarian projects. She is an accomplished professional in multiple
  regions including the Middle East\, Pacific\, Europe and the USA.\n\nRota
 rian Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) – Our mission is Peace.\n\nWe are a 
 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation focused on activating the Rotary communi
 ty to create pathways to peace. The RAGFP believes that everyone can be a
